- I heard a fellow on the radio this morning say we have a “fiscal cliff staring at us right around the corner.” I’m not arguing with his outlook so much as I’m just amused by the mix of metaphors.
- How can anyone not know the difference between “loose” and “lose?” Signed, Moose Allison.
- I almost purchased a song by Ne-Yo. I heard the end of it last night while randomly pushing buttons on my XM car radio and I thought the last minute was great. I went to YouTube to see the video (but mostly to hear the whole song). Like most pop music, it’s about sex, but maybe I’m just too freakin’ old. (I didn’t even like “The Lemon Song” by Led Zeppelin, and I wasn’t old then!) I think I’ll purchase a Kristin Hersh album instead. F-bombs I can handle.
It was great to hear the Terre Haute Symphony last night. Especially cool was the fact that I was able to talk with several SMWC students and alumnae. S/O to Jessica Zogbi, Nicole Gilberti, Cathleen Flynn, Jacci Martin, Nora Dalipi, Laura Kempton, and Aimee Conard.

…do it yourself, it’s said. I’ve spent rather a lot of time working with this site in the last couple of days, between classes, General Studies office, dental appointment, and the like.
